Welcome to Day 23 of the 40day180!
Why do I need to memorize the Word based on Romans 12:2 and Psalms 119:9-11?
When we choose to memorize the Word of God we are then transforming our mind to see and act in the ways of God (Romans 12:2). When we obey the Word of God, we will then find the plan God has for us and stay on the path of life. If you need discernment, memorize the Word of God! Hebrews 4:12 says that the Word is a “discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart”. When we memorize the Word and and then do it, we will obtain the discernment of God and know how to make decisions based on the Word and not our flesh (Proverbs 14:12 and Romans 8:6)
Psalm 1:1-6
1 Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; 2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. 3 He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, wjose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper. 4 The ungodly are not so, but are like the chaff which the wind drives away. 5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. 6 For the Lord knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
Psalm 121:1-8
1 I will lift up my eyes to the hills— From whence comes my help? 2 My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. 3 He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber. 4 Behold, He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. 5 The Lord is your keeper; The Lord is your shade at your right hand. 6 The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night. 7 The Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul. 8 The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore.
Joshua 1:8 – This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
Proverbs 18:21 – Death and life are in the power of the tongue,
And those who love it will eat its fruit.
Psalm 119:9-11 – 9 How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your word. 10 With my whole heart I have sought You; Oh, let me not wander from Your commandments! 11 Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You.

(Week 3) I choose to seek God first everyday by getting into His Word. I choose to walk in the plan God has for me by choosing to live the Word of God in every area of my life. I thank You Father that as I choose to obey Your Word, You are protecting me, directing my footsteps according to Your Word, and filling me with Your Holy Spirit.

(Week 4) As I continue to renew my mind with the Word of God, I choose to speak life and not death in every situation.
